With over 14 years experience as a mental health therapist, crisis counselor, social worker, investigator, and case manager, Nita enjoys the challenge of supporting others in their journey toward change.  Nita is a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University's Graduate Psychology Program specializing in solution focused cognitve behavioral therapy and reality therapy within a spiritual and faith based context. Her recent interests are in the field of neuropsychology and trauma. She is currently serving as a consultant and private practitioner working with forensic and non-forensic clients. Among her areas of expertise are sexual abuse survivors, sexual offender treatment, child protection issues, adult children of alcoholics issues, recovery, spiritual abuse, domestic violence, singles concerns, divorce adjustment, cultural sensitivity issues, and justice and equality concerns for all.

In addition to being a prominent "real world" therapist, Juanita Gamache has presented training to probation and parole officers on collaboration between the criminal justice system and treatment professionals for offender treatment, spoke at a recovery event for ACoA, raised awareness of sexual offenders about victim empathy by offenders donating money to a victim assault agency, and currently is seeking an audience in faith based and recovery circles to speak on sexual abuse within the faith based communities.
